_

Today I’ve visited the new Design and Fashion Musem in Lisbon’s downtown. The museum is called MUDE wich also means “change” in portuguese. The museum is still in construction but they decided to present the exhibitions anyway, wich gives the museum a cool suburban look, although you’re in the middle of a 18th century area.

They seem to have a permanent exhibition with important design pieces on the ground floor. The exhibition is not particularly brilliant, but has some interesting objects.

On the first floor there’s a very interesting temporary exhibition about political posters, from Lenine to Obama, from Che Guevara to Salazar, Berlusconi, Reagan… that makes you think, where did all the creativity go? Even in the Obama campaign, as you can see here.

Looking forward to see it finished.

I really don’t get this. Seat is using this Shepard Fairey’s Obama poster style, in their new campaign for Seat Leon, in Portugal, with Tiago Monteiro. Ok, the resemblances are obvious, and almost everybody knows the poster, so they can’t be trying to fool anyone, right? But what’s the point? Where’s the connection?
On the website there’s a punchline saying “Só para eleitos” (meaning: only for the elected/chosen ones), but… come on… and it’s only on the website. Nothing on the outdoors. I don’t get it. Was it done on the Obamicon?
As it wasn’t enough all the fuss about the copyright of the original poster.

Although I had some sound problems at first, all it’s working now, and I’m pretty happy with it. The ability to connect and recording to the pc it’s fantastic, and just too easy to do it. I now have to clean and organize my old and small vinyl collection, but as I already have two brand new vinyls, I thought of giving you a gift. My (late) Christmas present for you. Just a sample of my new Bob Dylan’s vinyl “Another side of Bob Dylan”.
The first time I’ve heard this music, was in a duet with Janis Joplin.
