After a magnificent Saturday morning at Bafureira, Sunday we ruined it all by going to Caparica. This time we tried a different beach, but the result was even worse, so a couple hours later we packed our stuff, and went home. It’s been a long time since I had a good morning of surf in [...]

Altough Bafureira is very close to São Pedro’s beach, I had never tried to catch some waves there. It’s always a little bit more crowded than I like, and I really enjoy my little sunny spot in São Pedro. But this Saturday, São Pedro was completely flat, so we decided to try Bafureira, and I [...]

While Barack Obama keeps on looking for his Portuguese Water Dog, Saturday I found one surfing on São Pedro’s beach. His name was Vasco. He completely stole the show. King of the beach. I believe he managed to surf all the waves that went through that peak. Big, small, medium, rare… And there he goes [...]

Another summer weekend with two sunny days with good waves in São Pedro do Estoril. I’m still a (very) small waves surfer, so this weekend was great!! Specially Saturday, as Sunday was a little more crowded. But it was a nice crowd.

It was a summer day, in all aspects. It was hot, sunny and almost flat. The exception was the water temperature… cold, cold, cold.
Nevertheless, it was a great surfing morning, full of sun and enough waves to have fun. And once again, the break was ours. No one else on the water.
    In the end, it [...]

There’s only one reason why this SOMA Air Bag it’s not going directly to my wishlist: The maximum size is only 7′6”. But it’s an excellent idea, and the video is totally worth it!

Another great morning to surf, in sunny São Pedro.
Today’s hero was Luca, an ex-bodyboarder, that kept on appearing on every wave and on every picture, with his unique style.

Great morning in São Pedro. Definitely the best this year. Sun & small waves.
We were the first to arrive there, so, for an hour, the beach was ours!
Afterwards it started to get a little bit crowded, but we already had a smile on our faces.
    It was a great weekend.

Finally, sunny days, with nice waves are back!
We went back to Caparica, and although we weren’t it the right spot, we’ve managed to get some fun. Later on, we’ve seen some pretty good surf in nearby beaches.
In this picture, you can see Miguel, a surfer from Ericeira, getting some action.

As the swell keeps pumping big waves all over the place, surfers can look for different surf spots. Sometimes with the big eye of the Portuguese navy.

A big swell it’s hitting the Portuguese shore. Windguru predicts a 3.6/6.6 meter waves for the next few days, so this may be my last post.
