getting ready for vacations v.3

After a month working on the launch of the website for the European Parliament member, Mário David (www.mariodavid.eu); on the project Fixing the Future (www.fixingthefuture.org); in small updates on Participez (www.participez.com) and still getting ready the development of a new project, to be launched on September…
After a month with some of the worst gastronomical experiences: the worst snails, the worst pimentos padron and definitely the worst sushi that anyone could ever imagine…
It’s time for some more vacations.
I’m hoping to get some surf, because after seeing Vasco’s new surfboard (a Paulo Jacinto surfboard) I definitely have to get my surf going.

portuguese water dog

While Barack Obama keeps on looking for his Portuguese Water Dog, Saturday I found one surfing on São Pedro’s beach. His name was Vasco. He completely stole the show. King of the beach. I believe he managed to surf all the waves that went through that peak. Big, small, medium, rare… And there he goes for another one.

SUNDAY SURF

Vasco
After a mini season surfing in São Pedro, Sunday we decided to go back to Costa da Caparica in a search for better waves.
The conditions were good, small waves, good wind, not too crowded… and if it weren’t for a small leg injury, it would have been a great surfing morning.
But when there’s no surf, there’s a great opportunity to take some photos, and try my (new) Panasonic TZ5 (finally I have a decent camera to take some surf shots).
The guys in the water were getting what they wanted, so I also got some good pictures, and the chance to test different settings.
In the photo above, the mitical surfer (ehehe) Vasco PM striking a pose for the camera.
