Well, it’s Mantorras again. I really admire him, but…
A few years ago, Mantorras had a sponsorship thing with a sausages company called Izidoro. The slogan: “O sabor que eu adoro”, meaning “The taste I adore”. I can’t thing of anything more stu…strange. Great marketing!
After a mini season surfing in São Pedro, Sunday we decided to go back to Costa da Caparica in a search for better waves.
The conditions were good, small waves, good wind, not too crowded… and if it weren’t for a small leg injury, it would have been a great surfing morning.

Manoel de Oliveira is a famous Portuguese film director that just turned 100, and he’s is still making movies. He has recently received the golden palm, at Cannes, for his lifetime achievements.

Marion Lipke is a portuguese surfer, born in Portugal, where he lives.
He has just qualified for the ASP World Tour 2009, together with another portuguese surfer Tiago Pires – although Lipke opted for the German nationality, due to sponsorship reasons (he has dual nationality: German/Portuguese).

Ben Skinner has won the Longboard stage in Estoril’s Surf Festival 2008 and Rémy Arauzo won the European title. Eurico Gonçalves won the national longboard championship’s title.
Next weekend, Estoril Surf Festival 2008.

[Update] Surfers: Ben Skinner, Sam Bleakley, James Parry, Adam Griffiths, Antoine Delpero, Thimothee Creignou and Romain Morain will be surfing in this year edition of Estoril Surf Festival.
Last weekend there were no “giant” waves as expected, but there were some pretty good waves to have some fun.
