beautiful day at são pedro
Great morning in São Pedro. Definitely the best this year. Sun & small waves.
We were the first to arrive there, so, for an hour, the beach was ours!
Afterwards it started to get a little bit crowded, but we already had a smile on our faces.
It was a great weekend.
SUNNY DAY AT CAPARICA
Finally, sunny days, with nice waves are back!
We went back to Caparica, and although we weren’t it the right spot, we’ve managed to get some fun. Later on, we’ve seen some pretty good surf in nearby beaches.
In this picture, you can see Miguel, a surfer from Ericeira, getting some action.
TODAY
As the swell keeps pumping big waves all over the place, surfers can look for different surf spots. Sometimes with the big eye of the Portuguese navy.
SATURDAY
Nice waves at São Pedro, on Saturday.
WEEKEND
A big swell it’s hitting the Portuguese shore. Windguru predicts a 3.6/6.6 meter waves for the next few days, so this may be my last post.
REMEMBERING
Just to remember the last time I hit the water. Sigh… it was last year…
(no, it’s not me in the photo)
SUNDAY SURF
After a mini season surfing in São Pedro, Sunday we decided to go back to Costa da Caparica in a search for better waves.
The conditions were good, small waves, good wind, not too crowded… and if it weren’t for a small leg injury, it would have been a great surfing morning.
But when there’s no surf, there’s a great opportunity to take some photos, and try my (new) Panasonic TZ5 (finally I have a decent camera to take some surf shots).
The guys in the water were getting what they wanted, so I also got some good pictures, and the chance to test different settings.
In the photo above, the mitical surfer (ehehe) Vasco PM striking a pose for the camera.
BILLABONG PIPELINE MASTERS
Tiago Pires vs the Hawaiian Makua Rothman, on the 2nd round of the Billabong Pipeline Masters – North Shore Hawaii
[Update] It seems that Tiago Pires wasn’t abled to surf, because of a back injury, so he was replaced by Kekoa Bacalso.
LAST WEEKEND
Last weekend there were no “giant” waves as expected, but there were some pretty good waves to have some fun.
Enough waves to have another edition of the Estoril Surf Festival. The photo above is from the Skimboard championship, in São Pedro’s beach (Estoril).
The Longboard European Championship will take place on the 13th and 14th of December.
